Riot Watch! Macedonia, rap v. Ass Hat Bill O'Reilly and Olympic golf indifference

- In the least surprising bit of Olympic news since the last insinuation that the International Olympic Committee is the most thoroughly corrupt governing body in all of sports, not even would-be Olympic golfers give a damn about their sport being part of the 2016 Summer Games in Brazil. Adam Scott is one of the best golfers in the world, but the prospect of vying for a gold medal in Rio next summer doesn’t have his imagination racing. "[Golf] doesn't need to be in the Olympics," Scott said. “Whether I win an Olympic medal or not is not going to define my career or change whether I've fulfilled my career. It's nothing I've ever aspired to do and I don't think I ever will. It's all about the four majors, and I think that's the way it should stay for golf." So Scott seems to be a no on whether golf's reinsertion into these Summer Games for the first time in 112 years really matters. Scott is merely saying what other big-time golfers are likely thinking, namely that the sport doesn’t need the Olympics because like soccer and tennis, it’s biggest events exist well outside the Olympics and the World Cup, Wimbledon and the Masters matter more than a few days of competition at the Olympics ever will. The Games happen just once every four years, whereas those events take place every year. Sure, big – and past their prime – names like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are among those who have already voiced support for the idea, but those claiming that golf has a definite place in the Olympic landscape are reaching when they claim it will allow the game to grow in countries where it hasn't yet fully evolved. Stop trying to force this thing to go places it was never meant to go and allow golf to be what it’s meant to be………..

- New York has more than 6 million people crammed onto an island far too small to house them all. Jam that many people into a small space and crime is going to happen by virtue of simple human foibles and frailties, so that leaves a bit of a dilemma for New York City police – beyond the dilemma of how to illegally stop and frisk black people without getting into deep legal sh*t, that is. Thankfully, New York City's police commissioner has an idea for how to deal with literally millions of wanted criminals lurking around the five boroughs. William Bratton said he's weighing the possibility of using an amnesty program to resolve the 1.2 million open arrest warrants for low-level offenses and he wants to have further discussions about some type of program that notifies people and offers to make their arrest warrants go away if they come forward. This might seem like a cruel trick by the long arm of the law to slap down people dumb enough to take this sucker’s ploy, but maybe The Man is shooting straight here. After all, city officials have already announced a series of reforms meant to improve the summons process for minor crimes such as disorderly conduct and drinking in public. Even the mayor's criminal justice coordinator says she's investigating how to safely reduce the number of outstanding warrants, so mix in the fact that nearly 40 percent of the hundreds of thousands of people ticketed last year for minor offenses failed to show up to court, triggering a judge to issue an arrest warrant, and it’s clear there is a need for a solution to one of the many, many problems vexing one of the most overcrowded cities in the world………..

- Blaming rap music for what ails the world is about 20 years past being a lame excuse for out-of-touch ass hats who can't accept the fact that we don’t live in the “Leave It To Beaver” era any longer. So why is human gas bag and conserva-Nazi standard bearer/Fox News anchor and political commentator Bill O'Reilly still lashing out at the rap world and blaming the likes of Jay-Z, Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz and Ludacris for the decline of organized religion in the United States? Because he’s lazy, has tunnel vision and knows an easy target when he sees one, that’s why. O’Reilly, fired up by the news of a A recent study showing that the number of self-identifying Christians within those born before 1945 is over 80 percent compared to under 60 percent within the current Millennial generation, locked in on hip-hop as the cause for this decline. "There is no question that people of faith are being marginalized by a secular media and pernicious entertainment," O'Reilly said while speaking directly from his ass. "The rap industry, for example, often glorifies depraved behavior. That sinks into the minds of some young people - the group that is most likely to reject religion." Thankfully, someone is standing up for rap, which may have been unnecessary given that Jay-Z smacked him across the face with lyrics in his 2009 track “Off That” in which H.O.V.A. insisted that you, “Please tell Bill O’Reilly to fall back. Tell Rush Limbaugh to get off my balls. It's 2010, not 1864.” Yet here is Run The Jewels rapper Killer Mike lighting up the Fox News ass hat by describing O'Reilly as "full of shit." Not content, he doubled back and doubled down by adding, "He's more full of shit than an out-house.” That could apply to so many different subjects and situations, but Killer Mike just spoke the truth………

- Riot Watch! Riot Watch! Macedonia is the place and tens of thousands of angry citizens are the stars, having gathered in the center of the capital, Skopje, to demand the resignation of conservative Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski. The protest was a baller addition to a weekend of dissent following the release of a massive cache of wiretapped conversations by the head of the opposition Social Democrats, Zoran Zaev. Zaev has been leading this parade of rebellion for months now and he is fanning the flames of unrest by claiming that Gruevski was behind the mass wiretapping of more than 20,000 Macedonians. See America, some people actually get pissed off enough by government intruding into their private lives that they do something about it. The leaked conversations allegedly reveal corruption at the highest levels of government, including mismanagement of funds, spurious criminal prosecutions of opponents and even attempted cover-ups of killings. Zaev tossed some quality inflammatory rhetoric into the mix, claiming those conversations were leaked to him by "patriots" in the domestic intelligence service. His demands include the formation of a caretaker government that will organize new elections, but Gruevski angrily rejects the accusations has insisted he will not step down. This anti-government gathering is aimed at rectifying that misguided point of view and should it not achieve its desired result, it might be time to up the ante………
